How to Dualboot (OSX/Windows) with XPC
Requirements:
bootx64.zip | |
File Size: | 672 kb |
File Type: | zip |
Lets say you have 2 HDD's.
Install OS X to first hdd using XPC.
Copy Windows 7 DVD contents to USB stick. You can use a second USB or use the XPC usb and format the hfs+ partiton to NTFS.
Navigate to "\efi\microsoft" on the Windows 7 DVD copy the boot folder to the EFI folder on the USB.
Then put Boot64.efi inside the "\EFI\boot" folder on USB.
When you boot with the USB stick, it will detect the partition with Windows 7 installer on it.
You need to convert the HDD to GPT.
When the installer has loaded press Shift + F10 to open CMD and type diskpart.
In diskpart type list volume and find the hdd you want to convert to GPT ad type select volume # (# is the volume number).
Then type clean and convert GPT.
Proceed to install to the second HDD. It should work on the same hdd with OSX on it if you make a second fat32/ntfs partition on it and use that partition during Windows installer?????

After you have installed windows you can install XPC to the OSX hdd and it should also detect Windows 7 so you can boot from it.
Note: Using loaders to activate windows will not work since they are made to emulate bios slic and will therefore not work in UEFI mode. You will have to use an solution that resets the 30 day trial instead.
